How do you embed offline face recognition and liveness in your app?
Integrate the FaceTagr SDK into your Android, iOS, Flutter or React Native application. It supports on-device 1:1 verification, 1:N identification and passive liveness without a continuous connection. Your application controls enrolment, consent, storage and any later sync. Agree the payload and retention design rather than assuming every integration stores or transmits the same data.

What happens to the data at each step?
| Step | Offline workflow | Application responsibility |
|---|---|---|
| Capture | Camera input on the device | Permissions and any image retention |
| Liveness | Local passive assessment | Thresholds, results and exceptions |
| Matching | Local enrolled reference or gallery | Reference and template protection |
| Workflow result | Identity decision delivered to your app | Attendance or candidate record and audit trail |
| Sync | Host app sends agreed data when connected | Authentication, destination and payload restrictions |
What does the SDK own and what does your app own?
The SDK supplies biometric recognition and liveness. Your application supplies user experience, location permissions, shift rules, offline result queue, sync, consent and retention. GPS, payroll approvals and CRM integration are not automatic consequences of adding a recognition engine.
How should a technical pilot start?
Step 1
Choose 1:1 verification, 1:N identification or both.
Step 2
Test on representative Android and iOS devices, including your framework.
Step 3
Measure matching, liveness and error handling with appropriate test participants.
Step 4
Confirm offline storage, network recovery and the exact integration payload.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can it work without a network?
Yes. FaceTagr's mobile SDK supports fully offline 1:1 verification, 1:N identification and passive liveness on Android and iOS. Reporting and integration need a connection when records are synchronised.
Are workers' photos stored?
Configured mobile attendance workflows can avoid retaining check-in photos or video. Enrolment references, templates and attendance records still need a documented retention policy. Customer-built SDK apps and CCTV may store images according to their configuration; confirm the data flow before deployment.
