Can face recognition and liveness run on a low-cost tablet?
FaceTagr's mobile technology runs on standard Android and iOS phones or tablets rather than a dedicated biometric terminal. An entry-level Android tablet from about $100 may suit a pilot, subject to camera quality and requirements. This is an approximate hardware budget, not a FaceTagr licence price or a guarantee that any tablet will meet your workflow.

Which requirements need a device pilot?
FaceTyck Attendance requires Android devices with at least 2GB RAM; the SDK minimum is 1GB RAM. Minimum memory is not a performance guarantee. Evaluate front and rear cameras, genuine-user completion, liveness, shift queues, battery and the gallery size. Check current iOS compatibility before purchasing.
Where is portable hardware useful?
Step 1
Temporary staffing sites and construction projects.
Step 2
Pop-up exam centres and distributed field teams.
Step 3
Shared kiosk or supervisor-held attendance, with an appropriate privacy review.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the $100 figure include the FaceTagr licence?
No. It is an approximate entry-level hardware estimate only. Device availability, tax, mounting, licence, integration and support costs are separate.
Can it work without a network?
Yes. FaceTagr's mobile SDK supports fully offline 1:1 verification, 1:N identification and passive liveness on Android and iOS. Reporting and integration need a connection when records are synchronised.
