Buyer guide

    Where is FaceTagr hosted?

FaceTagr is not restricted to one cloud provider. Its software can be deployed on AWS, Azure, regional clouds or customer servers, subject to deployment requirements. The mobile SDK runs on the device, while NBOX processes CCTV on-premise. Choose hosting and any synchronisation destination to suit your infrastructure and data-residency needs.

Does FaceTagr use its own recognition engine?

Yes. FaceTagr uses its own face recognition and passive liveness engine, benchmarked through NIST FRTE, rather than a third-party face API.

    What does infrastructure certification mean?

FaceTagr is ISO 27001 certified. Hosted deployments use SOC 2 Type II-certified infrastructure; this is an infrastructure assurance statement, not a claim that FaceTagr itself holds SOC 2 certification. Confirm the region, deployment responsibilities and data flows for your project.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can it work without a network?

Yes. FaceTagr's mobile SDK supports fully offline 1:1 verification, 1:N identification and passive liveness on Android and iOS. Reporting and integration need a connection when records are synchronised.

    Must I use AWS?

No. Discuss AWS, Azure, another cloud, a regional provider or your own servers with FaceTagr. Capacity and operational requirements are assessed for each deployment.
