Face Recognition SDK & API for HRMS Integration
Embed 1:1 verification and 1:N identification into your HRMS product. Cloud and edge SDKs for iOS and Android, plus a RESTful API - use one path or all three under a single enrollment database.
What HRMS platforms integrate
HRMS platforms embed FaceTagr in two shapes. Product teams that already have an employee record and just need to confirm the person in front of the camera use 1:1 verification. Product teams that need walk-up attendance - no badge, no tap, no picking a name from a list - use 1:N identification against the enrolled workforce. Both run through the same SDK and API, and both work with any RTSP/ONVIF CCTV camera you already own.
- 1:1 verification - match one live face against one enrolled template. Used for HRMS mobile clock-in, self-service check-in, and payroll approval flows.
- 1:N identification - match one live face against the full enrolled workforce. Used for kiosk attendance, CCTV walkthrough at the gate, and shift-rush at factory entries.
- Hardware-agnostic CCTV - works with existing cameras via RTSP/ONVIF through the NBOX Edge Gateway. No camera replacement.
Cloud or edge, your choice - SDK or API, either way
The edge-native SDK is available for iOS and Android, with Flutter and React Native support. It runs 1:1 verification, 1:N identification, and passive liveness on-device. The RESTful API is a separate connected path for backend workflows.
Cloud SDK | Edge SDK | RESTful API | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where matching runs | FaceTagr cloud servers | On-device or NBOX Edge Gateway on-premise | FaceTagr cloud servers, called from any backend |
| Platform | Native iOS and Android (plus Flutter, React Native) | Native iOS and Android (plus Flutter, React Native) | Any language, any OS - HTTPS REST |
| Connectivity | Requires internet | Works fully offline, syncs when online | Requires internet |
| Data residency | Templates stored in FaceTagr cloud | Templates stay on-device or on-premise | Templates stored in FaceTagr cloud |
| Best for | Multi-site HRMS with central admin, standard bandwidth | Remote sites, air-gapped plants, strict data-residency zones | Server-side workflows, backend enrollment, payroll sync |
| Latency | Network round-trip + match time | Sub-second, no network dependency | Network round-trip + match time |
| Integration | Embed SDK in HRMS mobile app | Embed SDK in HRMS mobile app, or pair with NBOX for CCTV feeds | REST calls from any HRMS backend |
SDK architecture for integrators
Native Android & iOS SDKs
Both cloud and edge variants ship natively for Android and iOS. Ships as AAR (Android) and XCFramework (iOS). Public API is stable across variants.
Flutter & React Native support
Embed the same mobile biometric capabilities in cross-platform HRMS applications built with Flutter or React Native.
Ed25519-signed offline licensing
Edge SDK license tokens are Ed25519-signed and validate offline. No phone-home requirement for licensed capacity.
SOC2-aligned controls
Encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging, RBAC, and template isolation - aligned with SOC2 controls for enterprise HRMS procurement.
NBOX Edge Gateway for CCTV
NBOX handles RTSP/ONVIF ingest, 1:N matching, and event emission from existing CCTV feeds. Pairs with the SDK or ships attendance events straight to the HRMS.
Cloud or on-premise
Run FaceTagr in the FaceTagr cloud, in your own VPC, or fully on-premise via NBOX. Template storage location follows the deployment.
Centralized device management, reports, and dashboards
The FaceTagr Console is the single control plane for every capture point across every site. Mounted kiosks, handheld devices, and NBOX Edge Gateways all register into the Console for enrollment, configuration, health monitoring, and reporting.
Centralized device management
Provision, revoke, and monitor mounted devices, handheld devices, and edge gateways across all sites from one place. Push enrollment updates and configuration to every device in a site with one action.
Attendance, match, health & exception reports
Attendance logs with match confidence, device health, and exception reports (missed matches, liveness fails, offline devices) - built in and exportable.
Two ways HRMS platforms use the Console
White-label the FaceTagr Console under your HRMS brand for customer-facing device management, or pull the raw data via API and render it inside your own HRMS dashboards. Both paths are supported.
Attendance capture modes
All three modes feed the same enrollment database and the same attendance pipeline. Mix them per site.
Selfie attendance
BYOD self-capture. Employees mark attendance from their own phone using the HRMS mobile app. Passive liveness blocks photo and video spoofing.
Mounted device mode
A fixed kiosk or tablet at the entry runs 1:N identification. Walk-up, no tap, no badge - the camera identifies the employee against the enrolled workforce.
Handheld mode
A supervisor, guard, or roaming manager carries a device for on-site attendance capture at construction sites, plantations, or field crews.
Built for HRMS-specific workflows
- Biometric clock-in and clock-out with audit trail
- Geo-fenced attendance for field and hybrid staff
- Visitor and contractor ID capture at the gate
- Payroll-linked attendance sync into the HRMS
- Access control tied to the same face template
Multi-Channel, By Design
HR platforms are asked for more than an in-app selfie check. The same FaceTagr engine covers SDK, mounted kiosk, handheld, and CCTV - 1:1 verification and 1:N identification, cloud or fully on the edge, all posting into the same HRMS record.
Mobile SDK - 1:1 & 1:N
App-based and remote staff
Runs inside your own Android or iOS app. Verification, identification, and passive liveness can run on-device and fully offline.
Mounted Kiosk - 1:N
Offices, factories, high-traffic gates
Fixed check-in point on off-the-shelf tablets. Register and verify in one glance, fully on the edge.
Handheld - 1:N
Field and mobile supervisors
Attendance and identification travel with the workforce, with no fixed installation.
CCTV - N:N
Passive, high-volume environments
Recognises multiple people at once through existing RTSP/ONVIF cameras, with no active check-in step.
Integration path
- 1
Enroll employees: push the existing HRMS employee master into FaceTagr Console or call the enrollment API from your backend.
- 2
Embed the SDK: add the cloud or edge SDK to your HRMS mobile app (iOS, Android, Flutter, or React Native), or wire the REST API into your backend.
- 3
Wire attendance events: FaceTagr emits verified attendance events (employee ID, timestamp, device, liveness result); post them into your HRMS attendance module.
- 4
Deploy capture points: choose selfie, mounted, handheld, or CCTV via NBOX per site - all three feed the same enrollment database.
- 5
Enable offline mode: for sites without reliable connectivity, install the edge SDK or NBOX with Ed25519-signed offline licensing; events queue locally and sync on reconnect.
